Dark web monitoring is a process that scans the dark web for your personal information or other specific details you're interested in. Think of it like a security guard keeping an eye out for anything suspicious in a hidden online alleyway.
Note: You must have a PureMax Plan to access Dark Web Monitoring.
Windows App
- Click the Dark Web Monitoring at the left panel of the PureVPN app.
- The feature allows you to monitor sensitive information for breaches on the dark web. You can add the following details:
- Email Address
- Phone Number
- Credit Card
- SSN/NIN
- Passport
Note: Users can change their details twice only.
- You can edit the details as mentioned below:
- Email Address: Click the Add button next to "Email Address" to enter and monitor your email.
- Phone Number: Click Add to include your phone number.
- Credit Card: Click Add to monitor your credit card details.
- SSN/NIN: Click Add to add your Social Security Number or National Identity Number.
- Passport: Click Add to monitor your passport information.
- Check mark I agree to Teams & condition And Privacy Policy. Then click Save.
- Enter the Verification code from your registered email.
- View Breach Details.
- Click the breach name to view more details.
- Review the details of each breach and take actions to secure your data.
- After securing your data, click Mark as Resolved to mark the breach as resolved.
Android App
- Tap the Hamburger icon (≡) from the top left.
- Tap Dark Web Monitoring.
- Tap the Hamburger icon from the mid right.
- Navigate to the Dark Web Monitoring section. Locate the "Filter by" menu to customize your search results.
Breach Type
Select the type of breach you want to filter by:
- All: Displays all types of breaches.
- Email: Focuses on breaches involving your email address.
- Phone Number: Filters breaches related to your phone number.
- User Name: Shows breaches linked to your username.
- IP Address: Displays breaches associated with your IP address.
Breach Status
Choose the status of breaches to view:
- All: Displays all breach statuses.
- Need Action: Highlights breaches requiring immediate attention.
- Resolved: Shows breaches you have already addressed.
Once your preferred filters are selected, Tab the Apply Filters button at the bottom.
- Tab the breach name to view more details.
- Review the details of each breach and take actions to secure your data.
- Tab the Mark as Resolved your breach details.
- Successfully resolved your breach details.
macOS App
