How to Setup Freebox VPN
You can make the most of your ISP box with PureVPN. Learn how you can configure PureVPN on your Freebox using the PPTP or OpenVPN protocol.
Find your VPN credentials for manual configuration
To find your VPN credentials log into the PureVPN member area. Click 👉 here to visit Member Area.
Login to the Member Area using your PureVPN registered email address and password.
On Subscription tab scroll down to be able to view your VPN credentials.
- You will be able to see and copy your VPN credentials.
- Note down your PureVPN username and click the Eye icon to make your password visible and use it in the manual configuration.
Freebox (PPTP)
Please note that this tutorial is based on Freebox OS 2.1.
- Connect to mafreebox from the local network (Wifi, CPL or Ethernet) or from an external network
- Enter password
- Click Parametres de la Freebox in the user interface.
Click Mode avance tab and then Client VPN
Go to the Configuration VPN tab and click Ajouteruneconnexion
- Description can be anything you want such as PureVPN PPTP.
- Type de serveur VPN (VPN server type):Choose PPTP from the drop-down menu
- Nom d'hôte(Hostname): Enter your Gateway (PPTP server) Use the server provided in the below👇

Choose either UDP or TCP files and select a server file that you wish to connect to.
To check whether the connection has established or not, go to the Etat de la connexion VP tab, to verify.
